Membership costs £5 per year from 1st January. This is to cover the cost of producing and printing, postages of four Newsletters . The membership year ends each 31st December.

Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to Ashford Access Group. An Information pack will be posted to you when you join. Left click with your mouse HERE to open a text application form which you can print out and post with your membership fee.

DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT 1995

The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA 1995), introduced over a period of years, concluding in October 2005, new laws and measures aimed at ending discrimination - in the areas of employment, access to goods and services and the buying and renting of land and property. However, the timetable allowed for the introduction of these measures is a period of years.

This means that improved access will have to be achieved through local disabled groups forging links with councils and the business community to recognise the needs of disabled people, as demonstrated by this Group.
