Access Awards SchemeAccess for the disabled is high on the agenda of this Group, which has the full support of the Borough Council and is the only Group which is recognised and approved by the Council to advise it on matter of disabled access. The Ashford Access Group has introduced an Access Award to encourage shops, businesses and owners of other types of premises to open their buildings up to disabled people.
Ashford Access Group works closely with the Borough Council, with the Ashford Town Centre Partnership and other Ashford based voluntary organisations, some of whom are member organisations of the Group. The Council has lent its support to the current campaign.
